LOCK DOWN SCRUB

So, thanks to the lock down I have had a lot of time on my hands and I have had the opportunity to develop my products and try new things. My first discovery was I am seriously allergic to honey because of the pollen it contains. Something I knew when I was child because I would swell up around flowers and totally forgot about it. The second thing I discovered is I can actually get rid of the inflammation using all-natural products instead of using my usual steroid-based face cream or any antihistamine. So, this week I am introducing one new exfoliating scrub that can be transformed into a mask easily, and reintroducing one scrub that we already have on our catalogue.

REINTRODUCTION

HONEY LEMON FACE SCRUB

This scrub includes natural, raw honey and fresh lemon. The combination scrub helps with thoroughly cleansing the skin, exfoliating it and brightening the skin. Honey on its own already helps with moisturizing the skin, smoothening the skin, improving elasticity, fighting breakouts, fighting black heads, unclogs pores, maintaining sufficient natural oils in the skin, balancing the skin and is without doubt one of the richest organic products I have ever used. Doubled up with the fresh lemon, the skin gets brighter. The lemon helps with balancing the skins pH level, fighting any other impurities, evening out skin tone and brightening dark spots.

This scrub is perfect even in fighting acne and eczema. I have seriously bad eczema which is only on my face and shows up every three days but ever since I started going organic, I get it maybe every week and since I started using honey in everything from my wash, to my exfoliator and to my mask, its been two weeks and the eczema hasn’t resurfaced. This is amazing!

BRAND NEW!

HONEY OATMEAL CLAY MASK

We already have a honey oatmeal scrub but the mask is a variation of the scrub. Because of my reaction to pure honey scrub I have resorted to adding oatmeal, a squeeze of lemon, apple cider vinegar and bentonite clay. These are a lot of components but they all work so well together. All these components have the following properties:

HONEY OATMEAL APV LEMON BENTONITE CLAY

Anti-bacteria Antioxidant Antioxidant Antioxidant Antioxidant

Antioxidant Anti-inflammatory Anti-inflammatory Anti-inflammatory Anti-inflammatory

Flavonoids

Antiseptic

Natural humectants

Natural emollients

Probiotics

As you can all see from the table above, one thing I have made sure to add in my mixture are products that contain anti-inflammatory components to ensure that, despite in cooperating honey into my full routine, I do not get any itchiness or swelling from the pollen. The added products sooth the skin and balance the pH level and ensure that no swelling or itchiness results from the use of honey.

Application and Results

You apply the products to your face for a minimum of 10 minutes in a pasty form and ensure that you wash our face with some good cleansing soap and thoroughly rinse with warm water to open up the pores. I use black African soap. Once applied leave it to dry out and once completely dry, rinse off the face with warm water and ensure that no product is left on the skin. To seal the pores, use a good organic moisturizer that will not clog up your pores. I use raw shea butter and on some nights I have started to use coconut oil because my skin is fairly dry so the oil will not cause any breakouts, however, I am allergic to coconut so I use it sparingly, and damp a dry paper towel after applying just to get rid of the excess oils. Because I would have already in co-operated anti-inflammatory components into my routine, those will deal with the inflammation that may be caused by the unprocessed coconut oil.

Immediately after rinsing you are assured of enjoying the results of the rich skin treatment.

This is certainly worth giving a try!
